"Favorite seafood restaurant! Even though it's an hour away, it's definitely worth the drive. The food is always consistently great and the employees are are always super friendly. The fried grouper, deviled crab and baby shrimp is my favorite. I also love the complimentary hush puppies."

"4 of us made the trip to Clinton for the Cancon event which was right down below this restaurant at the Clinton House. We searched for a good restaurant and this one had good reviews so we have it a shot. My wife got the grilled salmon and shrimp and I got the broiled seafood platter. First things first, the hush puppies, they were fried nicely and tasted fresh and the tarter sauce was pretty good. My wife's grilled salmon was really good, but the shrimp were over cooked but still tasted ok. My food was cooked correctly and probably some of the best broiled oysters I've ever eaten! Flounder was very good as well. Overall it was a good experience and we'll go back again next year when Cancon comes back around."

"I finally got to try this restaurant after a coworker recommended it three years ago. Food affects my mood and I left this place very happy! The atmosphere is immediately pleasant because they have a waterfall wall and you get to listen to the water rushing while you dine. My server Misty was very nice and helped me decide what to eat. She didn't make me feel weird for eating by myself and taking up her booth nor did she rush my meal. The free bowl of hush puppies were addictive and the best I've had. They didn't taste greasy or oily. All servers were offering little extras to enhance the dining experience of patrons; melted butter, sour cream, cinnamon butter, etc. Portions were plentiful and service was great. A better dining experience than your average seafood restaurant."

"Excellent seafood! I stopped by here on my way to Charleston, SC and discovered this fantastic seafood restaurant. It's everything you love about fish camps with none of the things you hate (dank lighting, all fried foods, etc.). The food was excellent and so was the service. The place itself is so huge and beautifully decorated inside. As you first come in, there is a deliciously looking display of cakes and desserts that I MUST try next time! The portions were excellent as well. My only complaint was the mahi mahi fillets were a little dry due to them being fairly thin, but the flavor of them was exceptional. And the fried clam strips were some of the most tender that I've had."

"My fiancé and I had an absolutely amazing experience here, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Paula. From the start, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely excited to make our first visit special. I asked her to surprise me with one of the two combo meals, and she completely delivered! It was the perfect choice and incredibly delicious (grouper and fried shrimp). The food was outstanding, and the presentation made it even better. On top of that, the décor made me feel like I had stepped into a tropical paradise, which elevated the entire experience. Between the amazing food, the beautiful atmosphere, and Paula’s exceptional and outstanding service, this was truly a grand experience. We will definitely be coming back, both to enjoy the food again and to be served by Paula! Highly recommend!"

"Blue Ocean is a solid go-to whenever you’re in the Clinton area. Convenient location off of I-26, plenty of parking and seating. Portions are large! You can never go wrong with the popcorn shrimp and calabash chicken. Delicious! Don’t fill up on hushpuppies! My husband had the ribeye and said it was delicious! Always good food and service. You won’t go home hungry. Can also accommodate large groups!"

"Very reminiscent of some of the seafood restaurants at Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed the jumbo shrimp red snapper and clam strips. A good selection of several types of fish. We had ours fried but it can be broiled as well."
